    The congregation was split between two services, contemporary at 9:00am and traditional at 10:30am and I attended the contemporary services. However we have recently all joined together now for one Sunday service, which most of us are loving and appreciating the opportunity to meet everyone from our Church.

    I first came to VHCoC some 2 years ago after my wife and I came to live at Hayborough. I felt at home right away. Most people were welcoming and friendly. You may say that this should be expected, but in some churches I have been to, even for a while, this hasn't always been the case.

    I have found the sermons from the Minister, Phil Alcorn, to be both challenging and thought-provoking; which has helped me to rekindle my Christian faith. After 6 months or so I accepted an offer to be a part of the Worship team as a Leader and have from January 2017 been elected as an Elder. I am far from being a perfect person or Christian, but I have found a place where I can be accepted for who I am, even for my 'Accounting' humour!!!
